Overview

The DC Supervisor, Inventory Control, leads the inventory control team in Jackson, handling all procedures as it relates to inventory control.  This position serves as a point of contact for all product levels, reconciliation, internal and external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, and product control operations.
  • Monitors inventory for organization and supervises efficient working of staff according to company policies.
  • Prepares accurate records for all physical inventory.
  • Monitors for continuous improvement in operational procedures, inventory efficiencies while ensuring adherence to departmental standards and objectives.
  • Develops and maintains excellent working conditions and facilitates effective team performance.
  • Coordinates with cross functional teams to identify obsolete inventory and count discrepancies.
  • Perform tests on WMS and recommend improvements to procedure.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with other departments to ensure cohesiveness within DC.

  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Interpret and enforce company policy and practices.
  • Assist overall DC operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar preferred. Will consider commensurate education and experience.
  • 5+ year’s related experience (warehousing, supply chain, inventory control).
  • Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving & proactive critical thinking.
  • Highly proficient in excel and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative.
