Overview

Responsible for merchandise allocation across the store base for assigned departments.  Duties include allocation of new receipts, replenishment of warehouse back stock, and overall management of store level inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the sales allocation operations efficiently in order to ensure financial success by achieving sales and inventory targets and service levels
  • Coordinate with store personnel, merchandising and inventory planner for assortment needs, selection and allocation
  • Act as the subject matter expert for inventory movement and flow through the Kirkland’s supply chain
  • Provide sound decision making on outbound priorities and be the steward of store inventory levels for areas of responsibility
  • Perform sales reviews and assortment plans for seasons and coordinate with inventory planning and merchandising teams to perform initial release and subsequent replenishments and maintain size grading and flow sheets
  • Create and analyze reporting, size selling data to identify improvement opportunities and implement allocation strategies to maximize business
  • Perform the allocations on time to maintain the flow of merchandise and meet logistic requirements
  • Maintain good relationships with different departments in order to contribute to strategies, share best practices and improve business knowledge.
  • Partner with store teams on specific merchandise needs.
  • Assertively take on special projects when needed.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 or more years of experience.
  • Analytical Experience, understanding of retail math, problem solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Retail store experience a plus.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
